- About Me:
- My name is David and I have lived in Adelaide my entire life. I am 46 and straight.
Although my passion is touring the Australian coast I have always returned to Adelaide because I like the size of the city and the hot summers and the cold winters.
Personal. Well! I have 2 grown up children living at home with me and my EX wife. It was an amicable separation and we are very good friends. (complicated)
I was a mean surfer in my youth and have loved racing Go-karts until their costs were crippling me.
I love my dogs, and my beach especially at first light and sunset. I am a printer by trade but have spent most my life as a musician and a part time, anything which paid the bills.
I would say that I am not a sheep. I shudder when I feel that main stream society, is having too much influence on my independent thought.
I play guitar and sing and have previously made a very good living out of it. I now concentrate my efforts on photography and slide and video shows. (Encouraging people to feel emotional through pictures and music).
Music is still there but, creatively it can have a very selfish impact on the family. I have taught my son to play guitar and the little buggar is much more advanced than I. Grrrrrr!
Nowadays much of my focus is on staying away from stress and learning about life, and gaining true friendships.
I study Kabbalah with the Ari institute with Bnei buruch,,,no red strings or mysticism etc,,....
I love the study of ontology and psychology.
Btw...I suffer with Chronic Fatigue and at present sleep a minimum of 10-12 hours daily. I do this not that I want to but I have to.
I have had depression, but I can fortunately say I have come out the other side of that dark hole.

You've posed a good question. But, though the answer is obvious, (from my perspective), it's a hard one for me to answer for you. So, let me give an example of Human Nature:
In teaching a 6 year old girl the art of being responsible, the mother tells her to help wash the dinner dishes. The 6 year old wants to go back to the game she was playing. When the mother insists that the girl help her, the girl feels that her mom is picking on her and becomes angry. She backs away, puts her hands on her hips, and with all of the hate she can muster, yells at her mother: "I hate you, I wish you were dead"!!
Now, does this mean that the little girl really hates her mother? Or that she really wants her mother dead? No, it merely means that in that emotional moment the little girl has only her own immediate desires that she is concerned about. But, it can (and usually does) esculate from that point. The mother feels hurt, and covers her hurt with anger and reacts by slapping the little girl. And this can go on for a lifetime. Fortunately, somewhere in the future, both can realize that they do not hate each other and can recouncil to renew their love and respect for one another.
Is this much different than humanity, as a whole?
The Creator I know created us out of LOVE and His/Her greatest gift to us was the Gift of FREE WILL. We are free to return His/Her
LOVE, or we can just ignore the FACT THAT HE IS STILL THERE AND STILL LOVES US. But, Love or Hate will never negate the fact that one day, like the Prodigal Son, we will return home and be greeted with the LOVE of a Father for His son.
I can only desire that when I return, He will say: "I AM SO PROUD OF YOU MY SON, YOU PRACTICED THE ONLY SUGGESTION THAT I HAVE EVER GIVEN YOU,
LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, WELCOME HOME".
